Dr. Danielle Saney completed her PhD in Kinesiology and specialized in Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo (Waterloo, Canada). Her past work with persons living with Alzheimer’s and dementia has driven her specific research interests in understanding the neural pathways involved in cognition changes and the behavioural hallmarks of pathological ageing that challenge those not only living with the disease but also their families and caregivers. At the DATE lab, Danielle is helping to develop and test technology applications that will help to encourage and support self-management for individuals with cognitive impairments.
