Dr. Arlene Astell has recently published a new paper in the Scandinavian Journal of Occupational Therapy. The paper titled ‘Self-initiated management approaches in everyday occupations used by people with acquired cognitive impairment’, explores various self-management strategies used by individuals with mild cognitive impairments (MCI) and acquired brain injuries (ABI) for completing everyday tasks.

This research is important for occupational therapists looking to shape their strategies towards a client-centred perspective to enhance autonomy.
