GSA 2022
The Gerontological Society of America
(GSA) is an interdisciplinary organization devoted to research, education, and practice in the field of aging. This year’s conference took place in Indianapolis from November 2-6, 2022.
PhD student Mary Hynes was invited to present at her work at this year’s conference entitled Models of Older Adult Group Engagement to Improve Health Management.
In addition to GSA, Mary has been busy presenting at a few other conferences (CAG and AGE-WELL) in the past few months (learn more about these here). Here is what she had to say about her experience at GSA:
I was fortunate to present at three conferences within the past month. At the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) Scientific Meeting in Indianapolis I presented a poster that shared examples of older adults co-designing and co-creating research projects that impact older adults.
[This conference] was my first in person American conference on aging and I found the differences from Canadian conferences to be very interesting. In some ways it was like learning a new dialect when understanding their presentations.
